The posthumous sculpture was based on the available photography and video tape. On viewing the finished model, Edsel looked into his fathers face and said: “He looks so real, it gives me goose bumps”.

This commission to do a life-size bronze monument of Walter P. Reuther and Henry Ford II shaking hands across a bargaining table was dedicated on October 1st, 1997. It stands in the main lobby of the new UAW-Ford building at the foot of Woodward Avenue in the heart of downtown Detroit.

Installed in the loby of the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame. The setting is based upon a rare photograph that only recently surfaced in the archives of a country fiddlers group. Many do not realize that Henry Ford was a capable musician and a great fan and supporter of traditional American country music; particularly the fiddle/violin.
